150 Square Feet
It's common in a Chicago townhome to have a small area just off of the kitchen that can feel like wasted space. This family sat with that space dilemma for years, finding it to be their "catch all" and an area of the home that they never wanted to linger. Once they determined to change that, we were called in to design a room that felt inspiring and conducive to a variety of uses from guitar lessons to homework to gathering family before and after meals. Our favorite aspects of this newly imagined "Family Lounge" are the guitar pic-shaped coffee table and the articulating wall sconce providing adjustable task light over the dining table.
